Brad Paisley fans had quite a fright during his recent show. The country singer was playing at Florida’s St Augustine Amphitheater when the screen behind him began to show static, the microphone let out a noise, and the sound at the venue started to become distorted.

Video from the concert showed Paisley looking on in confusion as the technical issues began. According to the fan who posted the clip, those issues stemmed from lightning striking the venue.
Fans who’d been at the show took to the comments section to recall the scary incident, even revealing that lightning struck the venue not once, but twice.
“This and second one made a whole room of Floridian[s] jump. Thats saying a lot,” one commenter quipped, while another revealed that she “had a lady almost jump over my chair onto my back” after the lightning hit.
Brad Paisley’s Music and Tour
Paisley is currently on his Truck Still Works World Tour. The singer will wrap the U.S. leg in Ohio on Aug. 31. After a few months off, Paisley will bring the tour to Canada. He’ll start that run of shows in Abbotsford on Nov. 4 and conclude the tour in Ottawa on Dec. 13.
Paisley’s tour is named after the single he released last year. During an interview with MusicRow, Paisley opened up about the song.
“‘Truck Still Works’ feels like we did something brand new and also feels like a return to certain themes,” he said. “But more than that, it’s the feeling of way back when I first started.”
The song, Paisley said, is a good indication of the music he wants to make going forward.
“There’s plenty of heavy topics [to talk about right now]. Just watch the news,” he said. “I wanted to do something here that really exists for feeling good. Turn this thing up in whatever vehicle you’re driving. It should sound really good and it should take you away from some of those things.”
“More than that, it’s a return. It’s nostalgia,” Paisley continued. “I love things that evoke good memories, and that’s what this did for me.”
