Brad Paisley Surrounded by Police on Stage During Connecticut Show, Performs “Mr. Policeman”

While fans usually pay hundreds of dollars to see their favorite singers take the stage for one night, a great deal of work goes into that single performance. From setting up the stage to soundchecks, the number of people who work around the clock for singers like Brad Paisley is impressive. And once the lights go out, police officers and security guards focus their attention on the crowd, making sure every fan has a safe and fun night. But recently, Paisley found himself surrounded by police when he took the stage in Connecticut.

Being surrounded by police officers might not seem like a good thing, especially when you are a country star like Paisley. But thankfully, it was the singer who called them to the stage. While fans in the audience appeared confused by the influx of officers, Paisley used the moment to shine a light on the Bridgeport officers who put their lives on the line every day. Wanting to honor their commitment to their community, the country singer offered each of them a guitar pick. But he insisted, “It’s not a bribe.” Check it out HERE.

Shortly after sharing a special moment with the officers, Paisley already had the best song lined up when he started to sing, “Mr. Policeman”, which included lyrics, “I’m in the jailhouse now. I’m in the jailhouse now.”

Bridgeport Police Thank Brad Paisley For Support

As for the Bridgeport police, they shared the video of the special moment with Paisley, writing in the caption, “Last night was one for the books. A huge thank you to the Hartford HealthCare Amphitheater and country music legend Brad Paisley for taking the time to recognize the hard work of our Bridgeport Police officers. Being invited on stage was something our officers will never forget, and it meant a lot to everyone in the department.”

Continuing to praise Paisley for his commitment to police officers, the department added, “That energy reminds us why we do this job. To Brad Paisley and his crew, thank you for standing with law enforcement and showing that support in such a meaningful way.”

Outside of the Bridgeport Police, fans also loved the display on stage, with comments reading, “Can’t get much better than that. What an honor to be onstage with Brad Paisley! Thank you BPD for your bravery, service and dedication. Stay safe!”
