On Wednesday, July 30th, fans and fellow singers stood in the streets of Birmingham to remember Ozzy Osbourne. While performing in the city just a few weeks prior, it marked the singer’s final performance. Already promoting it as Ozzy’s last time on stage, no one could imagine that only a couple of weeks later, he would pass away. Leaving behind a legacy that will always be remembered, dozens of tributes poured in from those who not only knew Ozzy but were inspired by him. Recently, singer Bret Michaels decided not to share a picture of the Prince of Darkness, but of Sharon Osbourne.

Although millions around the world mourned the passing of Ozzy, the singer of Poison sent his love to Sharon. Posting a throwback picture of the two on the red carpet, Michaels wrote, “To my sweet Sharon and family on this day and every day – my heart, soul and prayers are with you.”
Sending his love and support to Sharon throughout this extremely difficult time, fans followed Michaels, adding, “I send up prayers for all of them but especially Sharon. She loved that man SO much!! I pray she can draw strength from her children, wonderful friends like yourself and maybe even from fans. I just fear THIS type of broken heart. Being to strong for her.”

Ozzy Osbourne Didn’t Want Funeral To Be A “Mope-Fest”
While offering his heart and soul to Sharon, Michaels didn’t forget about Ozzy and how he dedicated a majority of his life to heavy metal. “Ozzy Osbourne, thank you for the awesomeness you brought us and may you forever and always rest in peace.”
Having battled Parkinson’s for numerous years, Ozzy often discussed how he wanted to be remembered. While Sharon and his children mourned his passing, the singer once insisted he didn’t want it to be a “mope-fest.” Instead, he said, “I’d … like some pranks: maybe the sound of knocking inside the coffin; or a video of me asking my doctor for a second opinion on his diagnosis of ‘death.’”
In addition to pranks, Ozzy even suggested a few songs to play. “I honestly don’t care what they play at my funeral; they can put on a medley of Justin Bieber, Susan Boyle and We Are the Diddymen if it makes ’em happy.”
Always finding the humor in the topic of death, the entire music industry followed his wishes and spent the last week not mourning his passing but celebrating his life.
