Dierks Bentley Clears the Air About Joining the ‘Survivor’ Cast, “For Now”

Over the last two decades, Dierks Bentley left his mark in country music when landing No. 1 hits like “Settle for a Showdown”, “Every Mile a Memory”, and “Say You Do.” Having topped the charts numerous times, the singer released his tenth studio album back in 2023 with Gravel & Gold. Due to the success of the album, he also hit the road with the Gravel & Gold Tour. While learning to navigate the music industry, Bentley found himself making headlines when some claimed he was competing on the new season of Survivor

For any fan of Survivor, which first aired in 2000, they know the amount of strength, dedication, and luck it takes to compete on the show. With each passing season, the show welcomed people to try and beat the elements. For many, the rough living conditions caused them to either quit, be voted off, or fall victim to Mother Nature.

Speaking with Taste of Country Nights, Bentley decided to clear the air about the rumors and how it all started. “I posted something online … I actually tried to support a friend of mine here in town, saying she would be a great contestant on Survivor. But it kind of came back toward me, and I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, I can’t believe this is a possibility.’”

Dierks Bentley Okay With Just Being A Fan

While finding humor in the situation, Bentley revealed he wouldn’t be on the show. “For now, I’m just gonna be a fan.” Enjoying the comforts of modern life, the singer loved his earplugs, eye mask, and cooling mattress.

With Bentley caring a great deal about his sleep, he joked that his teenage daughter knew it wouldn’t end well if he went on Survivor. “My 14-year-old knows that I’m a beast when I don’t get enough sleep. I’m a pretty bad sleeper as it is.” He continued, “My daughter was like, ‘Dad, you’re a beast when you don’t sleep, and you would probably get canceled. You would probably say something absolutely crazy and you’d probably get canceled.’”

As for the new season of Survivor, the show looked to return on February 26th with a two-hour-long episode on CBS and Paramount+. And sadly, it won’t feature Bentley or maybe it will.
