Former ‘American Idol’ Winner Scotty McCreery Reveals Major Life News

Back in 2011, Scotty McCreery auditioned for American Idol, hoping it would kick start his career in country music. Week after week, the singer powered through the performances and eventually found himself competing in the finale. And that moment did exactly what he hoped as he won the tenth season of American Idol. While 14 years ago, he continued to expand his career in the music industry. And speaking of expanding, the singer recently announced his family was getting a little bigger.

Back in June 2018, McCreery celebrated his marriage to his longtime girlfriend Gabi Dugal. Just a few years later, in 2022, they welcomed their first son. And while it has only been the three for some time, the family prepared for a new addition. Posting a collage of pictures on social media, McCreery expressed his excitement about having another child. And just like the first time, it seemed to be another boy give the blue heart emojis.  

While McCreery and Gabi kept it simple with their white shirt and blue jeans, their son got the pleasure of announcing the baby. He wore a shirt, reading, “Big Brother.”

Online, fans filled the comment section with love for the country singer and his family. “OMG ..the bestest news I have heard all day ..Congratulations. How awesome ..exciting news.” Another person added, “Congratulations to each one of you. I will be Praying for a great pregnancy journey, labor and Delivery, healthy Mama and baby. This is so Awesome!!!”

Former ‘American Idol’ Contestant Congratulates Scotty McCreery

Besides the exciting news, McCreery constantly posted pictures of his small family on social media. Just going through the last few months, the country singer’s life appeared full of love as he, his wife, and his son always had a smile on their faces. 

Although receiving well wishes from fans, McCreery’s former competitor during season 10, Lauren Alania, also took a moment to send the singer some love. She wrote, “Yay!!! Congrats.” 

Headlining tours, releasing new music, and part of American Idol history, McCreery’s accomplishments far exceeded the music industry with a loving family that will soon add another member.
