The Kelly Clarkson Show is a place for wholesome and family-friendly celebrity entertainment. It has always been since its inception in September 2019. However, one of the other alluring elements of the show is the segment titled, “Kellyoke.” The name speaks for itself, and during these segments, Kelly Clarkson has performed hits by Keith Urban, Hozier, Sabrina Carpenter, Taylor Swift, and so many more.

In her most recent taping of the show and segment, Clarkson took the stage to perform one of the hottest pop songs currently on the market. And no, it is not Taylor Swift. Instead, Clarkson performed a cover of Chappell Roan’s hit song, “Red Wine Supernova.” For a quick second, this song was seemingly fading away from the public pulse. However, that is no longer the case, and it’s thanks to Kelly Clarkson.
Kelly Clarkson Goes Full Chappell Roan
Anyone and everyone who toils in modern-day pop culture can honestly say they respect Chappell Roan’s talents. They may not love her music, but they still surely find her journey and style admirable and novel. That being so, Kelly Clarkson is also drinking the Roan Kool-Aid.
Clarkson’s cover of Roan’s smash hit was so good, that some fans are requesting Roan hand over her whole catalog so we can hear unlimited Clarkson vocals on Roan tracks.

In addition to covering her song on her most recent show, Clarkson also stated that Roan’s voice is “Insane” and that her lyrics are “very storyteller, and it’s very funny.” In her most recent Chappell Roan cover performance, Clarkson may not be scoring any of the elaborate outfits or makeup. Though, regardless, she does a phenomenal job covering the hit song and doesn’t miss a singular note. Frankly, if one listens attentively, you can hear the vocal parallels between the two musicians.
As stated previously, it seems that Kelly Clarkson is one of the biggest celebrity Chappell Roan fans. Besides singing her praises and covering “Red Wine Supernova,” Clarkson has also covered two Roan songs on the same segment of her show. In November of 2024, Clarkson performed “Pink Pony Club,” and in September of 2024, Miranda Lambert joined Clarkson to sing an acoustic performance of “Good Luck Babe” on air. Needless to say, Kelly Clarkson has been and seemingly will continue to sing Chappell Roan’s praises from the highest of skies.
