Walking into the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, Lady Gaga expanded her career with yet another award when she won the Innovator Award. It appeared to be the perfect award for the singer, who continuously pushed the boundaries of music. During her speech, Lady Gaga said, “I don’t totally know how to think about this because winning an award honouring my entire career at 38 years old is a hard thing to get my head around.”
While Lady Gaga was thrilled about the award, she admitted her time in the music industry felt like an eternity. “I feel like I’ve been doing this forever. [But] on the other hand, I know I’m just getting started. So even though the world might consider a woman in her late 30s to be old for a pop star – which is insane – I promise that I’m just getting warmed up.”

Lady Gaga Offered The Key To Success At iHeartRadio Music Awards
Offering fans and aspiring artists the key to success, Lady Gaga pointed to innovation. “Innovation isn’t about breaking rules; it’s about writing your own and convincing the world they were theirs all along. Like showing up to the Grammys in an egg or creating an anthem that everyone told us was too controversial until it became undeniable. If I have learned anything in the three decades I’ve been at this, it’s that the most powerful innovation is your authenticity.”
Outside of adding a few awards to her collection, Lady Gaga recently released her newest album Mayhem. Exploring several themes including love, fame, desire, and chaos, the album hit shelves on March 7 with songs like “Abracadabra”, “Garden of Eden”, and “Vanish into You.” With Lady Gaga adding to her discography and continuing to star in films like Joker: Folie à Deux, the singer is quickly becoming an icon in the entertainment industry. And as she declared, she is just getting started.
