Man Arrested After Making Bomb Threat at Morgan Wallen’s Nashville Bar: “I Have a Bomb Don’t Be a Hero”

Morgan Wallen’s Downtown Nashville establishment, I Love This Bar, is a place for fans to gather, hear good music, and have a good time. However, last night (April 23), one young patron killed the vibe when he threatened bar staff with a bomb.

According to WKRN, 26-year-old bar patron Reginald Smith left a threatening note on his receipt. It is unclear who initially received the note. However, it landed in the hands of the security team. “I have a bomb!! Don’t be a hero. SYBAU,” the note read. “SYBAU” is an acronym for “Shut your b**ch ass up.” It is unclear what Smith hoped to gain by making the threat.

Fortunately, security searched the bar and found nothing out of the ordinary. They could breathe a sigh of relief. However, the night wasn’t over for Smith. He left I Love This Bar and entered another Broadway club. That’s where Metro Police found and arrested him. The report states that Smith claimed he just meant the note “as a joke” and that he didn’t mean anything by it. That story wasn’t good enough for Metro PD.

As of this morning, Smith was in Metro jail on a charge of felony false reporting of an emergency. The charge is a Class C felony in Tennessee which carries 3-15 years in prison. He is currently being held on a $15,000 bond.
