After dealing with the backlash of his chair-throwing incident, Morgan Wallen did a fantastic job of staying out of the spotlight. Focusing on his music, the country singer continued to travel the country, performing.

Although not entirely his fault, the singer found himself once again the center of controversy when he decided to walk off the stage a little early on Saturday Night Live. With the moment turning into a massive debate, Wallen has since taken that negative press and flipped it, selling some timely merchandise.
While reports speculated as to why Wallen walked off the stage before cameras cut, Wallen shared a post on social media of a plane at the airport. He captioned the moment, writing, “Get me to God’s country.” That single photo did nothing but add fuel to the rumors circulating his SNL moment.

At the time, many saw it as nothing more than Wallen wanting to get away from the city life. While every singer and band will sell merchandise, Wallen’s new shirt and hats come with the message, “Get me to God’s Country.” First posting a picture on his Instagram Stories, the new items come at a price of $45 when picking either the hat or shirt.

Kenan Thompson Offers Take Of Morgan Wallen Leaving Early
Outside of Wallen’s ability to capitalize on any moment, SNL’s Kenan Thompson opened up about the moment on the show, explaining, “I don’t know what goes through people’s minds when they decide to do stuff like that. I don’t know if he understood the assignment or not, or if he was really feeling a certain kind of way.”
Not wanting to think the worst, Thompson was also confused about the “God’s Country” tagline. “The ‘God’s country’ of it all is strange because it’s like, what are you trying to say?” Thompson added. “You trying to say that we are not in God’s country? We’re not all in God’s country? We’re not all under God’s umbrella? “
Only offering his opinion, Thompson looked ahead, concluding, “Moving on, we got a new show. We got Jack Black this week.”
