If one is familiar with or pays attention to Nashville, they are fully aware of its rapid expansion. Anschutz Entertainment Group is the corporation backing the project, and AEG Regional Vice President, Mike Ducharme, calls it “a complementary piece of the music and special events landscape.” As well as, “a venue to showcase programming that resonates within the city’s rich musical history and is simultaneously a home for all genres of music.”
Another Nashville Music Venue
Amidst Nashville’s boom, it makes sense as to why the city wants to add yet another music venue to the city. The city has Ascend Amphitheater, Bridgestone Arena, and several other venues catering for larger shows that have made loads of revenue for the city. However, according to Music Row, the venue will be different than the rest given that it is “Equipped with cutting-edge lighting and video systems” and is meant to host “private events and live television productions in addition to a variety of concerts.”
In addition to these attributes, the venue has a maximum capacity of 4,500 and includes an open-air rooftop bar. It will be interesting to see how Pinnacle stands up against the rest of Nashville’s music venues. That said, it seems they already have it covered with their first leg of performances.
Upcoming Performances
When opened on February 28, The Pinnacle Music Venue will host a special guest to perform on the opening night. Subsequently, some of the first shows being played at the venue include Megan Moroney, Turnpike Troubadours, Journey, T-Pain, and Russell Dickerson. Depending on how these performances go, it will be likely that other acts will follow shortly after.
Regardless of all the venue’s bells and whistles, the thing that will make the venue great is the talent. Thus, the facet that will make or break Pinnacle’s success is if they can attract the right star power. However, given that it’s Nashville, they will most likely be more than fine and become another staple of music city.
