Renzo Gives His Best Lenny Kravitz Impression During ‘The Voice’ Season 27 Finale

Before Renzo won fans over on The Voice, he nearly emerged victorious on the NBC show’s rival. Competing on season 16 of American Idol, his bid for the crown fell short at the Top 10. Now, the elementary school science teacher is changing the narrative with an illustrious run on The Voice season 27. In fact, he’s one of five contestants still with a shot at the crown. During Monday’s (May 19) episode of the two-part finale, Renzo made his case for the crown.

Renzo Sings On ‘The Voice’ Season 27 Finale

As The Voice season 27 draws to a close, Reno is competing against Jadyn Cree, Adam David, Lucia Flores-Wiseman, and Jaelen Johnston for the record deal and cash prize. We’ll learn the name of the winner on Tuesday (May 20) during the second part of the finale.

Renzo has more or less nailed it all season, and that trend continued with tonight’s performance of Lenny Kravitz’s “Fly Away.”

“Jamal [Roberts won American Idol now I need Renzo to win The Voice,” one viewer posted on X/Twitter.

Taking the stage a second time, Renzo furthered his frontrunner status with Jeff Buckley’s “Lover, You Should Have Come Over.”

“Renzo or no one and I’m not kidding,” one viewer wrote.

The One That Got Away (From Adam Levine

During The Voice season 27 Blind Auditions, Renzo elicited chair turns from all but newcomer Kelsea Ballerini with his dazzling Blind Audition performance of “Simple Man” by Lynyrd Skynyrd. The “Baggage” singer said that while he deserved a four-chair turn, she didn’t think she was best suited for his talents. Renzo eventually joined Team Legend, and the duo have been practically unstoppable ever since.

However, the “All of Me” crooner did have to do some dirty work to keep Renzo on his team. He blocked Adam Levine from snagging the West Philadelphia native during the Blind Auditions. According to his colleagues (and himself,) the Maroon 5 frontman has been “b—-ing about it ever since.”

“There’s not a day that goes by that I don’t hear Adam going ‘Renzo! He woulda been mine!’” Michael  Bublé said. “Literally, he’ll be eating at catering and go, ‘Renzo!!’”

While fans were thrilled to see one-half of the OG bromance return to his big red chair, Levine didn’t stay long. The “Harder to Breathe” singer will not return for season 28 of The Voice. In fact, Bublé is the only season 27 returner, joining Snoop Dogg, Niall Horan, and Reba McEntire.
