Later this year, Tim McGraw will headline the first-ever concert at the iconic Field of Dreams movie site. The one-night-only event will be the perfect intersection of country music, cinema, and baseball and will celebrate the legacy of an MLB legend.

The “Don’t Take the Girl” singer is the perfect choice to be the first artist to headline a concert on the Field of Dreams site. His late father, Tug McGraw, was an MLB star who played in the league for 19 seasons. The elder McGraw threw the final pitch of the 1980 World Series, striking out the Kansas City Royals’ Willie Wilson to bring his Philadelphia Phillies their first World Series win. Additionally, he coined the phrase “You gotta believe” which became a rallying cry for the New York Mets in ’73 and is still used by the team and their fans. The connection goes a little deeper than that, though. The concert will take place on August 30th which would have been Tug’s 81st birthday.
A Homerun Partnership Will Bring Tim McGraw to the Field of Dreams Site
Yesterday, StubHub and U.S. Concert Agency (USCA) announced a multi-year deal to bring events like this to life. Additionally, the partnership names StubHub as the official ticketing partner for Tim McGraw’s upcoming Field of Dreams concert.
Adam Budelli, head of North America Partnerships at StubHub spoke about the partnership with USCA and the forthcoming event. “We’re thrilled to partner with USCA and bring Tim McGraw’s electrifying performance to this iconic location,” he shared in a statement. “This collaboration combines the power of StubHub’s global platform with the magic of one of America’s most beloved landmarks, offering fans a truly unique experience. We’re confident that, with our extensive reach and ticketing expertise, we’ll deliver unparalleled access for both local and global audiences, marking the start of an incredible partnership and a first-ever concert at the Field of Dreams,” Budelli added.
USCA founder Nick Abate also spoke about the partnership. “We are beyond excited to kick off this partnership with StubHub. With their world-class technology and reach, it will be easier than ever for fans to access tickets to this unforgettable event, as well as many more in the years to come. We always strive to curate memorable and impactful events, and this tribute to Tug McGraw’s legacy is no exception,” he shared in a statement. “It’s a huge moment not only for the fans but for Tim as well, and it’s just the beginning of something special.”
Field of Dreams Concert Ticket Info and More
The Field of Dreams site is nestled on a beautiful 193-acre farm in Dyersville, Iowa. The site allows visitors to walk the field, attend baseball-related events, and attend one-of-a-kind festivals. Now, it will be the host site of an unforgettable night for Tim McGraw and his fans.
StubHub is the official source for tickets to the event. They’re offering three ticket types for the concert—General Admission, VIP, and Home Run VIP.
General Admission tickets will allow fans to attend the concert and walk the movie site field. VIP packages offer that plus dedicated viewing areas, entries, and restrooms as well as a private bar. The Home Run VIP packages include those perks plus a dedicated lounge area, complimentary small bites, non-alcoholic beverages, and free event merchandise.
General on-sale begins Friday (January 24) at 1 AM ET. Fan Favorite presale and early bird pricing are only for General Admission tickets.
