Since the announcement of his upcoming album, Snipe Hunt, the world of country music has been following Tyler Childers diligently, as the release of this album has been heavily anticipated. Following the announcement of the album, Tyler Childers released the album’s lead single, “Nose On The Grindstone.” A song Childers has kept in his arsenal for years.

On July 2, 2025, Tyler Childers released the second single from the album. That track is “Oneida”, another song Childers has been playing for years. Days ago, Childers teased the track via Instagram, in which he simply wrote, “‘Oneida’ out July 2nd.” Prior to the release of the single, one of Childers’ more notable performances of the song was on Red Barn Radio in 2016.
While this song has been in Childers’ unreleased catalog for quite some time, his newest version takes on some new sounds. In the Red Barn Radio version of the song, Childers plays a beautifully simple acoustic rendition. While those elements still exist on the newest recording, Childers adds some fresh color as well. It’s an old song and a new song at the same time, and speaking of new songs, Tyler Childers also dropped the full track list of his upcoming album, Snipe Hunt.

As stated previously, the only two songs Tyler Childers has released so far are old ones. However, per his track list, the album features 13 songs; thus, Childers is seemingly putting out 11 new studio-recorded pieces.
Regardless, Tyler Childers’ new album is the first album he has released since his 2023 Rustin’ in the Rain. Snipe Hunt will be released on July 25, 2025, via a partnership between Childers’ independent label, Hickman Holler, and RCA.
