Back in March 2024, Beyoncé released her debut country album with Cowboy Carter. Marking her entrance into country music, many fans wondered how the pop singer would transition to the new genre. But when releasing songs like “Texas Hold ‘Em” and “16 Carriages”, Beyoncé took over the airwaves. When it came to awards, she snagged a Grammy for Best Country Album and Album of the Year. And kicking off her Cowboy Carter tour just a few days ago, Beyoncé decided to start the concert with a performance of the national anthem.

With fans filling the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, Beyoncé walked out to a roaring crowd. Excited to see her perform on stage, many were left shocked when she took a different approach. Taking a moment to speak with fans, she said, “Oh Beyhive, it feels so good to be on this stage. I want to thank all of those who came before me that allowed me to be on this stage today. I want to thank you to my fans for allowing me to make this album. Thank you giving me the creative liberty to challenge myself.”

Beyoncé Shows Love For America With Stunning Dress
Ecstatic over the reception of Cowboy Carter and her new tour, the singer decided to honor America with the national anthem. Thankfully, the performance made its way online, bringing in six million views. And while some fans took issue with the decision, others simply enjoyed the talent Beyoncé brought to the stage. “That voice. That control. Nobody holds a moment like her .” Another comment included, “Her vocals are insane maybe I NEED to go to a beyoncé concert once in my lifetime.”
Besides taking a moment to honor America, Beyoncé also incorporated many patriotic elements into her show. In another video, the icon was shown on stage wearing a dress that was fashioned around the American flag.
With Beyoncé hitting the road for the first time since her Renaissance World Tour in 2023, the Cowboy Carter tour is expected to run until July 26th with one last performance in Paradise, Nevada.
