Kelsea Ballerini was just a teenager when an independent label executive told her, “There’s already a Taylor Swift.” Discouraged but not deterred, she kept pushing. In March 2016, Ballerini released “Peter Pan,” the third single from her studio debut The First Time. The country-pop ballad about love lost hit No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs and Country Airplay charts, making the Knoxville, Tennessee native the first female country music artist to top both charts simultaneously. It’s safe to say that “Peter Pan” has turned on many a fan to Kelsea Ballerini’s music—including fellow country artist Brantley Gilbert.

Brantley Gilbert Made Kelsea Ballerini’s Friday
While best known for country-rockers like “Bottoms Up” and “Small Town Throwdown,” Gilbert apparently has a softer side. The CMA Award winner shared a clip of himself jamming to Kelsea Ballerini’s 2016 hit “Peter Pan” in a Friday (April 18) Instagram post.
You’re just a lost boy, never keep your feet on the ground, sings Gilbert, 40. Always gonna fly away, just because you know you can / You’re never gonna learn there’s no such place as a Neverland.
“Kelsea Ballerini with a banger!” Brantley Gilbert exclaimed. “I don’t know if y’all remember this one, but happy Friday!”
Sporting a black baseball cap, shirt, and sunglasses, the heavily tatted “Son of the Dirty South” singer is quite a sight driving in his car while singing along to Ballerini. The “Dibs” singer thought so, too. “well this just made my friday,” wrote Ballerini, 31, in the comments.
Gilbert responded, “made my damn day when it came on… clearly!!”
Several fans commented that they’d like to see Brantley Gilbert and Kelsea Ballerini team up for a duet. And honestly, so would we.

Why Brantley Gilbert Put His Show On Hold To Help a Crew Member Propose
When he isn’t rocking out to Kelsea Ballerini, Brantley Gilbert is crossing the country on his Tattoos Tour. And the “One Hell of an Amen” crooner recently halted a show for the sweetest reason.
During a show last month, Gilbert claimed he was experiencing “technical difficulties.” “Sorry, this may be a little unprofessional,” he told the crowd as he brought out a crew member named Brandon, along with Brandon’s girlfriend Lia.
Next, Gilbert distracted Lia as Brandon got down on one knee. When she turned around, he popped the question, to which she loudly answered, “Yes.”
