Davis, 24, has been releasing albums independently since her late teens. Her songwriting passion took root at age 12, shortly after she acquired her first guitar.
A native of Little Rock, Arkansas, Davis moved to Nashville a year and a half ago to pursue a recording career. Before arriving in Music City, she had only written songs by herself, so the world of co-writing is a new frontier.
“I think co-writing will help me a lot in my own writing which I think is cool,” she said. “And [the pub deal] means less waitressing which will be really nice. It will also free up more time for me to write. I can spend free time every day writing.”
