Sierra Ferrell has been a favorite among fans of independent country music for years. In 2024, she found herself receiving praise from a much wider population of fans and critics after releasing Trail of Flowers. Today (January 3), Ferrell announced a deluxe edition of the award-winning album with two new tracks. Listen to a renewed version of her track “The Garden” below.

Trail of Flowers brought Ferrell much acclaim in 2024. It debuted atop multiple Billboard charts. Additionally, it brought her Album of the Year at the Americana Honors & Awards. She also won Artist of the Year, likely aided by her otherworldly live shows and her smash hit album. The record also brought Ferrell her first four Grammy nominations. She’s up for Best Americana Album. “American Dreaming” brought her nominations for Best Americana Performance and Best American Roots Song. “Lighthouse” earned a nomination for Best American Roots Performance.

Trail of Flowers: Deluxe Edition will contain the 12 tracks from the original release and two additional songs. “The Garden” first appeared on the soundtrack for The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes. The new fleshed-out version features pedal steel, piano, drums, a string section, and more. Ferrell will also include her rendition of the bluegrass classic “Don’t Let Your Deal Go Down” on the deluxe release.
Sierra Ferrell will release Trail of Flowers: Deluxe Edition on January 31. It will primarily be a digital release. However, a very limited run of physical copies pressed on honeydew vinyl is available to purchase now via Rounder Records.
2025 Will Be Another Banner Year for Sierra Ferrell
Sierra Ferrell brought her music to a wide variety of new places in 2024. She appeared on The Late Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live, and CBS Mornings, and performed on NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert series. This year will see her breaking more new ground. She’ll make her headlining debut at the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheater in September.
Ferrell will also be playing to massive crowds across the country when she hits the road with Post Malone and Jelly Roll on their Big Ass Stadium Show this spring. Additionally, she’ll have dates with Nikki Lane and The Teskey Brothers & Band of Horses.
