Before the NFL kicked off Super Bowl LIX, the organization welcomed Snoop Dogg to host the NFL Honors. The event surrounded the 2024 season and celebrated some of the best players and moments throughout each week. While honoring the players, the show featured more than Snoop Dogg as Jelly Roll surprised the audience when he appeared on stage. Although knowing how to put on a concert, the singer wasn’t there to perform as he wanted a chance at a career in the NFL. And while the NFL was looking, Jelly Roll decided to showcase his football skills by coming out in a Tennessee Titan’s uniform.

While celebrities often wear a jersey of their favorite NFL team, Jelly Roll went far beyond that when he put on full gear. The moment started when Snoop Dogg walked out wearing a uniform for the Steelers. Claiming the NFL was looking for some good players, Jelly Roll suddenly came out on stage, insisting, “If anyone deserves a shot in this league, it’s me.”
Looking over at Snoop Dogg, Jelly Roll explained how the famed rapper didn’t fit the NFL standards.”Snoop don’t even look like he plays football. I, on the other hand — peak athleticism, music superstar — one could say I’m Travis and Taylor in one pair of britches.”
Even when Snoop Dogg suggested Jelly Roll would make a good player on the offensive line, the country singer went bigger, declaring, “O-line? I wanna be a running back.” He didn’t stop there as he added, “Forget the tush-push, your team needs the Jelly Belly!”
Jelly Roll Reveals What Keeps Him Motivated
Fans loved Jelly Roll poking fun at himself with comment reading, “The jellbelly is the new football play come on make it happen.” Another person continued, “Snoop look like when you’re on create a player and you drop the weight as low as possible.”
Outside of his time in New Orleans, Jelly Roll continues to focus on his weight loss journey. Shedding pound after pound, the singer explained what motivated him. “The things that motivate me and keep me going are the people I have met along the way across the juveniles and rehab centers or prisons along the way. The people that come up to me and bravely share their sobriety date, or a story of something that they’ve dealt with, or someone they’ve lost.”
Continuing to release music and stay healthy, Jelly Roll insisted, “Seeing the resilience of the human spirit, there is no greater motivation than to keep going.”
