Here’s How to Vote for Your Favorite Singer on ‘American Idol’ Tonight (5/12)

American Idol is back tonight, May 12, after the first of two Disney-themed episodes. Sunday’s episode was Mother’s Day themed, while tonight’s will focus on heroes and villains. Additionally, fans have the opportunity to vote for their favorite contestant to move them on to the Grand Finale.

Wondering how to vote? There are a few different options to cast a vote for your favorite singer.

First, fans can head to American Idol‘s official website and submit a vote. Votes can also be sent in on the show’s official app. Get it on the Apple app store and on the Google Play store. Lastly, fans can text the code for their favorite contestant to 21523 to cast a vote. During the show, there will be prompts that explain how to vote by text, which will include each contestant’s unique code.

When is the American Idol Season 23 Finale?

The Top 5 contestants have been chosen following the May 11 episode, and fans will have a chance to see them perform twice more before the Top 3 are picked. Slater Nalley, Breanna Nix, John Foster, Jamal Roberts, and Thunderstorm Artis impressed the judges and secured their places in the Top 5.

Each contestant will perform two songs aligning with the heroes and villains Disney theme. Additionally, Broadway star Lin-Manuel Miranda will return to mentor the young singers. He helped them prepare for Sunday’s episode, and will also take the chance to perform for the audience.

The American Idol Grand Finale will air live on May 18. The remaining three contestants will compete to be the next American Idol, each hoping that the votes turn in their favor. Make sure to tune in live tonight, May 12, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC, and don’t miss the Grand Finale on May 18 at 8 p.m. ET.
