More Recent Nicks News
Nicks has only performed one time in 2025 so far. On January 30, she played a three-song set at the FireAid benefit concert at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California. Her performance featured her solo hits “Stand Back” and “Edge of Seventeen,” and her classic Fleetwood Mac ballad “Landslide.”
Then, on April 16, Nicks received a prestigious honor during the 36th annual Pollstar Awards in Los Angeles. The singer/songwriter was inducted into the Pollstar Live! Music Hall of Fame at the event. Stevie was acknowledged for her contributions to rock music and the touring industry.
During her acceptance speech, Nicks revealed that she was making a new album that started coming together while she was living in a hotel for “92 days” because of during the devastating wildfires that caused so much damage in the L.A. area.
“I’m actually making a record right now,” she said. “I call it ‘the ghost record,’ because it … just kind of happened in the last couple weeks.”
Nicks also reported, “I have seven songs, and they are autobiographical, real stories, where I’m not pulling any punches for probably the first time in my life. They’re not airy-fairy songs that you are wondering who they’re about, but you don’t really get it. They’re real stories of memories of mine of fantastic men.”
Stevie revealed that one song was inspired by an encounter she had with Prince after going to a screening of his movie Purple Rain.
