In the pic, McEntire wears a black turtleneck and turquoise, fringe cardigan with matching accessories. She has a serious and determined look on her face as she sits in the show’s iconic big red chair.
“Back in my other Happy Place,” McEntire captioned the pic, a reference to her sitcom, Happy Place. “I’ve got my game face on and I’m ready to WIN 🏆 Just wait til y’all hear the incredible voices of Season 28!”
What to Know About The Voice Season 28
McEntire will coach The Voice‘s upcoming season. She’ll be competing against Michael Bublé, Snoop Dogg, and Niall Horan.
Season 28 will be McEntire’s fourth time serving as a coach on the show. She took a one-season hiatus—during which she was replaced by Kelsea Ballerini—before her big return.
McEntire won the competition once before when Asher HaVon took the season 25 crown. She’ll face some stiff competition to come out victorious again.
Bublé has won both seasons on which he’s served as a coach, first with Sofronio Vasquez and next with Adam David. Snoop Dogg had the fifth place finisher in Jeremy Beloate during his sole season as a coach. Meanwhile, Horan won it all with Gina Miles and Huntley in back-to-back seasons.
On the personal side of things, season 28 will reunite Bublé and Snoop, who developed a sweet bromance during their past season together. Last year, Snoop told People that he and the crooner are “brothers from another mother.”
“Who would’ve thought?” Snoop said of the unlikely friendship. “But I’ve been known to have pairings with people who you wouldn’t expect me to pair with, and it just feels like me and Bublé are lost brothers.”
“We love the same things, we agree to disagree,” he added. “It’s just beautiful finding somebody like this so far in my career that has the same views in life and that I can mesh with and bond with on screen and off screen.”
Season 28 of The Voice will premiere Sept. 15 on NBC.
