A Brief History of Tomorrowland
Founded in 2005, Tomorrowland is a massive electronic dance music festival in Boom, Belgium. 2025 marked its 20th anniversary, and the festival still aims to host major EDM acts such as David Guetta, Charlotte De Witte, Martin Garrix, Swedish House Mafia, John Summit, and many others.
In years prior, major performers to grace the festival’s stages include Steve Aoki, Avicii, Amelie Lens, Lost Frequencies, and Afrojack. Founded by brothers Manu and Michiel Beers, the festival originated in Boom and hosted 10,000 fans during its inaugural show. Since 2005, Tomorrowland has attracted thousands upon thousands of fans every year and expanded to several other countries. Those countries include France and Brazil. Other than its music and size, Tomorrowland’s other notable quality is its elaborate stage sets and themed weekends.
The headliners include Martin Garrix, Swedish House Mafia, Hardwell, Armin van Buuren, David Guetta, Charlotte De Witte, and Amelie Lens. Per the statement, the festival will still let in guests starting tomorrow, July 18. If all things go as planned and the festival implements solutions, Tomorrowland will conclude on Sunday, July 20, 2025.
