The band behind “Surfin’ Safari” and “Good Vibrations” – The Beach Boys – solidified their legacy within the music industry by showcasing the surf genre. And throughout the passing decades, the group sold over 100 million albums, entered the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and was considered one of the greatest bands of all time. Sadly, on June 11, the Beach Boys lost founding member Brian Wilson. Passing away at 82 years old, Wilson’s family recently laid the famed songwriter to rest.

Taking time to properly mourn the death of Wilson, his eldest daughter, Carnie, posted a stunning flower arrangement on her Facebook page. In the caption, she wrote, “Today we laid my Daddy to rest. It was incredibly difficult to see that happen, but at the same time it gave more closure and more of a feeling of restful peace. The last eight weeks have been extremely challenging and like nothing I’ve ever experienced. I love and miss him so much and I wish he could come back.”

Daughter Believes Brian Wilson Sent a Sign at Funeral
Although missing her father daily, Carnie promised that Wilson was already nearby. “There’s so many signs that he gives me every day and I know that he’s around …he can hear me and he can see me. He makes that apparent. I’m so grateful for this. Today we had a couple of monarch butterflies that just would not leave the site.”
While battling several health issues over the years, in 2024, reports indicated that Wilson suffered from dementia. Quickly stepping in, the singer’s family ensured he received care throughout his final year.
Knowing the countless people Wilson entertained, inspired, and helped, Carnie thanked the fans for their continued support. “Thank you Daddy for your beautiful contribution to so much happiness and real raw emotions that you have brought to people. Thank you to all the beautiful loving and supportive fans out there for honoring him. We share this together. God knows what we’d be without him.”
With Carnie and fans around the world saying their final goodbye, the music industry celebrated the good vibrations he left behind.
