Before You Watch the ‘American Idol’ Finale, Here’s a Compilation of Jelly Roll Struggling To Keep It Together Throughout Season 23

Although it feels like season 23 of American Idol just started, the finale is just around the corner. On Sunday, May 18th, John Foster, Breanna Nix, and Jamal Roberts will take the stage one last time to hear their fate. Having made their way through each phase of the competition, each singer hoped to hear Ryan Seacrest call their name one more time. But before naming the winner, American Idol decided to take a look back over the season. And showcasing the new artist in residence, Jelly Roll, apparently, the country star struggled to keep it together throughout season 23.

Posting a video on Twitter, American Idol gathered all the footage of Jelly Roll during his time on the show. And not all that surprising, the singer broke down more than a few times. For any fan of Jelly Roll, they know he wears his heart on his sleeve. Never afraid to show his emotions, cameras caught the country star breaking down. 

Gaming over 10,000 views, fans loved watching the raw emotion that Jelly Roll brought to the show. “He is authentic. He touches hearts. My 98 year old mother absolutely loves everything I share with her. She lived the “I’m not ok but it will all be alright” during her lifetime starting from poor sharecroppers in the south. God Bless him.” Another person added, “I thought JellyRoll did a phenomenal job.  I really enjoyed hearing his perspective on things.  I think he should come back for another season.”

Jelly Roll Heading Overseas After ‘American Idol’

With fans loving the addition of Jelly Roll on American Idol, many called for the singer to be brought back for another season. But it’s unclear what the future held for the singer. He recently shared the exciting news that he was traveling to London to perform a concert alongside Post Malone. 

Given Jelly Roll’s past with the law, he ran into a few hurdles when wanting to take his music overseas. But with the singer completely turning his life around, he insisted that he hoped to use his story to change lives. “I want to be an inspiration for people who are now where I used to be — to let them know that change is truly possible.”
