According to Travis Kelce, it looks like Taylor Swift is apparently working on some new music. In a recent episode of The Pat McAfee Show, Kelce hinted that some new material from his famous singer/songwriter partner is on the way.

Specifically, McAfee asked the tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs what it was like to be around Swift when the “creative juice” started flowing. He also asked if Kelce is “a motivator” every time a spark of creativity hits Swift.
Kelce said that he could “never chime in” during the writing process for Swift, but is happily “here to support it.”
“I’m here to see where it can go, you know what I mean?” said Kelce.
McAfee went on to prod Kelce about whether or not Swift was working on a “good guy” album, referencing her famous tendency to write scathing songs about her ex-boyfriends. Kelce started to reveal some details but stopped himself.
“I don’t know, there might be a few…” said Kelce, before rerouting. “You know I can’t say, you know I can’t say… any of that. I hear music everywhere.”
Obviously, Kelce didn’t drop any damning details. However, it’s clear that Swift has at least been throwing around ideas in recent months. Though, if she really is writing a “good guy” album about Kelce, it wouldn’t be the first time she has referenced the football player in her music. The song “So High School” is allegedly about her romantic entanglement with Kelce.
When Can We Expect New Music From Taylor Swift?
Swift’s last release was her 11th studio album The Tortured Poets Department, which was released in April of last year. Though, we’re sure you already heard about that. The album broke countless records and topped the charts, along with the rest of the “secret” double album dubbed The Anthology. It was also nominated for Album Of The Year at the 2025 Grammy Awards.
Swift also just wrapped up her enormous record-breaking Eras Tour, which spanned 149 shows. Clearly, Swift has been busy.
So, when can we actually expect new music from Taylor Swift? Kelce was mum about the details. But if he feels safe enough to bring it up vaguely in an interview, we can likely expect at least a teaser for new music from Swift in the coming months.
