Although KISS ended the band’s legacy with one final concert in December 2023, Gene Simmons continues to perform under the Gene Simmons Band. Offering fans a mix of covers, iconic KISS songs, and a taste of his solo work, Simmons decided to take a simplistic approach when it came to touring with his new band. Doing away with the massive sets and costly travel expenses, Simmons found a happy medium when touring. And now, for those fans who want to know what it is like to work for the legendary singer, Simmons is offering them the “roadie” experience if they are willing to pay for it.

For most, getting a job means receiving payment for one’s hard work, but not For Simmons. Hitting the road for another string of shows in April, the singer decided to offer fans a new experience. Sharing the news on his website, fans can purchase one of two packages. For what is called the “Gene Simmons Bass Experience”, fans received a chance to meet with the star backstage. Allowed to take videos and photos, fans could also bring three guests with them.
The Ultimate Gene Simmons Experience
Besides rubbing shoulders with Simmons, the rocker would also give away a Gene Simmons Bass, which he would sign and personalize. For the package that came with a bass not played on stage, the price was $6500. And for those willing to pay, a stage-played bass came with a $12,500 price tag.
Just the base package, Simmons also offered the “Ultimate Gene Simmons Experience.” That included a hat, shirt, VIP badge, a bass used during rehearsal, and even a meal with Simmons himself. But it wasn’t all just enjoying the life of a rockstar as the package revealed fans could be a member of the Gene Simmons Band crew, which included helping load and unload gear, becoming a personal assistant, and even sitting in on the sound check. The experience also came with a signed set list but would set fans back a staggering $12,495.
Offering more than a few perks, “Only one Ultimate Experience” would be sold per concert. With Simmons holding such a special place in rock and roll history, there are surely some fans willing to pay to work for the legendary Gene Simmons.
