How To Support Los Angeles Wildfire Relief: Benefit Concerts and More

The Los Angeles wildfires have left a devastating amount of destruction throughout the city over the last few days. Thousands of acres of land, homes, and buildings destroyed by the inferno that has raged across the city. Fortunately, there are a few ways that you can support LA wildfire relief, through benefits concerts and more.

How to Support Los Angeles Wildfire Relief: Music Benefit Concerts

Intuit Dome has arranged a benefit concert in order to help rebuild communities that have been impacted by the wildfires. Titled FIREAID, the “evening of music and solidarity” will take place on January 30. Ticket information and set lists will be announced soon.

Many musicians have lost their homes in the wake of the wildfires raging through Los Angeles. And a number of GoFundMe campaigns and other fundraisers have been launched to provide relief.

Both MusiCares and the Recording Academy have also launched the Los Angeles Fire Relief Effort, specifically to help music professionals who have been struggling in the aftermath of the wildfire crisis. The fundraiser aims to help people who have been working in the music industry for more than five years for immediate assistance. Both organizations have pledged a combined $1 million to set off the fundraiser, and you can donate here.

How to Support Los Angeles Wildfire Relief Through Other Venues

Outside of music-specific benefit concerts and fundraisers, there are other ways you can help those impacted by the Los Angeles wildfires:

  • The American Red Cross is currently accepting donations to help supply its evacuation centers.
  • The Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation is asking for donations to its wildfire emergency fund. Proceeds will go directly to help equip the limited number of firefighters in the city with tools and supplies.
  • Aid group Direct Relief is accepting donations for emergency healthcare supplies for clinics, evac centers, and individual residents who have been affected by the fires. They are currently accepting monetary donations as well as N95 masks, medical supplies, and other essentials.
  • The California Fire Foundation is asking for donations and volunteers to help support residents of the city who have been impacted financially by the wildfires.
  • International Medical Corps, a Los Angeles-based nonprofit, is currently coordinating with health groups in the city to provide hygiene products and medical supply kits to communities affected by the wildfires, as well as aid to health facilities. You can learn how to help here.
