Kelly Clarkson welcomed a very special guest to the stage during her Las Vegas residency. During her Studio Sessions residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace, the singer brought her 11-year-old daughter, River Rose, onstage for a duet.

The sweet moment happened ahead of Clarkson’s performance of her 2015 hit, “Heartbeat Song.”
“So my daughter River Rose said to me, I wanna sing tonight!” Clarkson told the crowd, before welcoming the tween to the stage.
The mother-daughter duo wore similar outfits of bedazzled T-shirts and dark pants as they swayed back-and-forth and performed the tune. The unexpected duet delighted the crowd. Audience members cheered throughout River’s time on stage.
River is no stranger to performing with her mom. Back in 2023, Clarkson’s eldest child—she also shares 9-year-old Remington with her ex, Brandon Blackstock—performed the same song with her mom at a Las Vegas show.
During that performance, Clarkson told the crowd that her mini-me had been “jamming out to the song since she was a baby” and “loves this song so much,” People reported.
Kelly Clarkson’s Las Vegas Residency
River’s appearance came after a challenging start for Clarkson’s Las Vegas residency. The singer postponed the first of her scheduled shows just hours before they were slated to start due to vocal issues.
“We have been working 24/7 to make Studio Sessions the most intimate and extraordinary experience with and for my incredible fans,” she wrote on Instagram at the time. “I am beyond grateful that you always show up for me and I am devastated to have to postpone tonight and tomorrow’s opening at Caesars.”
Clarkson revealed that she made the difficult decision to postpone because “the prep and rehearsals have taken a toll on my voice.”
“I want the shows to be perfect for y’all and I need to protect myself from doing serious damage so I am taking this weekend and next week to rest up so that we can deliver what you all deserve,” she wrote. “The show is truly incredible. The musicians and singers are outstanding, and I want us all to start out strong.”
Shortly thereafter, a source gave more insight into Clarkson’s decision.
“Even as a seasoned singer, she pushes herself too hard. Vegas is very dry too and it seemed this was an issue as well for the vocal health,” the source told People. “She was pretty much forced to [postpone in order to] prevent long-term damage.”
