Just last weekend, American Idol not only revealed the Top 10 contestants who still have a chance at winning, but they took a moment to celebrate Rock and Roll Hall of Fame members and iconic moments on the show. With the season finale just a few weeks away, the remaining singers continued to feel the pressure mounting as each performance could be their last. Thankfully, judges Carrie Underwood, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan were on hand to offer advice. And with American Idol airing on Sundays, here are all the details about tonight’s episode and what to expect.

With American Idol loving themed episodes, it should come as no surprise that tonight’s episode will surround top female artists in the music industry. While celebrating “Ladies Night”, the judges will watch as the Top 10 take the stage to offer performances that showcase the achievements of female artists. And joining the show as a guest mentor for the evening, country singer Miranda Lambert will do more than offer advice. During the show, she will also perform the title track for her debut album Kerosene, which was released 20 years ago.
Besides getting the chance to speak with Lambert, the singers also faced yet another elimination. With only ten contestants left, two will be sent home with the Top 8 being revealed. Looking at the singers who remained in the competition for now, they included, “Canaan James Hill, Gabby Samone, Mattie Pruitt, Thunderstorm Artis, Slater Nalley, Breanna Nix, John Foster, Kolbi Jordan, Josh King, Jamal Roberts.

The One Trick Carrie Underwood Offered ‘American Idol’ Contestants
While Underwood focused on getting the most out of each contestant, she recently offered some priceless advice when it came to fame. Knowing that one of the singers would become the next American Idol, she revealed a trick she “stole” from Joe Rogan called “Post and Ghost.” She told E! News, “I got a lot going on in my life. I’m 42 years old. I’ve got two kids I’m trying to raise to be good humans. I’m just out there doing the best I can, so if I want to post something, I’m just going to do it and leave it there.”
Not wanting to give the critics or trolls any platform, Underwood insisted, “I want to tell you all an important trick. It’s called ‘post and ghost.’ You put your stuff on social media and you don’t look at the comments. That’s how I live my life, man. Anybody who thinks they’re yelling at me, or insulting me, or telling me I’m a certain way, or not enough this, or I’m too much that, they’re just yelling at the clouds. I don’t hear or see any of it.”
Don’t miss a “Ladies Night” on American Idol, airing at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on ABC and available to stream the following day on Hulu.
