Jelly Roll Makes Late-Night Hosting Debut: “If I Suck, My Name Is Post Malone”

Tourmates Jelly Roll and Post Malone are two peas in a pod. Both face-tatted former rappers who are now enjoying immense success in country music, the pair are currently making waves together on their Big Ass Stadium Tour. So great are their similarities, in fact, that Jelly hilariously invoked his tourmate just in case his late-night hosting debut turned out to be a flop.

Jelly Roll Guest Hosted ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’

Jelly Roll has spent the last several years padding his resume. Most recently, the “Need a Favor” singer, 40, has been training with WWE legends The Undertaker and Michelle McCool ahead of his SummerSlam debut next month.

On Wednesday (July 16), Jelly stepped up to guest host Jimmy Kimmel Live. Taking the stage, the Grammy nominee asked the audience for patience as he made his late-night hosting debut.

“This is my first time doing something like this, and I’m going to try my best. I am,” he said.

Still, a good performer is always prepared. “But if I really suck bad, y’all just remember— my name is Post Malone,” Jelly said, emphasizing his Big Ass Stadium Tour partner’s name.

Fortunately, there was no need for that. All of the “Liar” singer’s jokes seemed to land just fine. “Do not adjust your TV. Jimmy did not join MS13,” he said, poking fun at his extensive face tattoos. “I am your guest host, Jelly Roll. Y’all tune in, baby.”

The Touring Continues

Jelly Roll and Post Malone have just wrapped the U.S. leg of their Big Ass Stadium Tour. But if you couldn’t score tickets, don’t worry. The “I Had Some Help” crooner, 30, recently announced that the pair will hit the road together next summer.

“I knew in the bottom of my heart there was only one mother f—er I want to go out and do this with,” Malone told the crowd. “And I learned as of a couple of days ago that we get to go out and do this s–t next f—ing summer too, ladies and gentlemen.”
