Kelsea Ballerini “Simply Won’t” Name Her Most Talented ‘The Voice’ Co-Star

Kelsea Ballerini is having a full-circle moment with her coaching debut on The Voice. The country-pop hitmaker joins veterans Michael Bublé, John Legend, and Adam Levine in the big red chairs. Since the season 27 premiere earlier this month, fans have delighted in watching Ballerini, 31, form bonds with her fellow coaches. Just don’t ask her which bond runs the deepest—or which co-star is the most talented.

Kelsea Ballerini Joined ‘The Voice’ This Season

Last week, freshman coach Kelsea Ballerini learned a tough lesson on The Voice when Adam Levine blocked her from recruiting a Nashville, Tennessee-based artist for her team. Still, when faced with the perfect opportunity for retribution, Ballerini declined.

The “Cowboys Cry Too” singer recently appeared on an episode of Cosmopolitan’s “Cheap Shots” series, where she was asked to rank her fellow Voice co-stars from most to least talented.

“That’s insane of you,” Ballerini replied, before refusing to play along with the name of the game.

“I am on a group chat that lights up every time any of us talk about each other,” she says. “I cannot do it, and I won’t—I simply won’t.”

She continued, “I will say, I love and adore all three of these guys. They are good humans, and great artists, and none of them are the least talented—period.”

Watch Kelsea Prank Adam

Kelsea Ballerini may “love and adore” all three of her The Voice co-stars. However, that doesn’t automatically mark them safe from the three-time GRAMMY Award winner’s jokes.

Before season 27 began airing, Ballerini enlisted OG coach Blake Shelton’s help in pranking his frenemy, Adam Levine. In a January 2025 interview with News Channel 8’s “Daytime,” the “Penthouse” hitmaker watched a clip of Levine trying to talk a contestant into joining his team.

That’s when Ballerini hits her chair button, and out comes Shelton’s voice: “Adam’s a big baby,” the “Ol’ Red” singer says.

“I had it for when I really needed some backup and I got it,” she says, pressing the button again.

“Adam won’t shut up,” Shelton says, followed by, “Adam, you say a lot of stupid stuff.”

Unfazed, Levine replies, “You know what that reminds me of? My long pedigreed history here on ‘The Voice.’”
