Today (January 16), Kenny Chesney announced that he’ll bring beach vibes to the desert this spring with a residency at Sphere in Las Vegas. The 12-show run kicks off on May 22. Chesney will finish his residency at the state-of-the-art venue on June 14.

Chesney sells out stadiums across the country, bringing the No Shoes Nation together. This spring, he’ll pack more than 17,000 fans into the largest spherical structure in the world for 12 nights of good times, good vibes, and great music. Chesney will be the first country artist to headline the venue.
Kenny Chesney Discusses His Sphere Residency
According to press materials Kenny Chesney hadn’t attended a concert at Sphere before agreeing to his residency. “When we started talking, I flew to Vegas with my key tour team. We stood on the floor as they ran the film of U2’s show and we were completely consumed,” Chesney recalled in a statement. “We could see the band, but it was so much more than that. It almost took what they were doing and multiplied it by another dimension,” he added.
Seeing the capabilities of the venue made the “There Goes My Life” singer’s creative wheels start turning. “Knowing how much intensity our shows generate, my mind started thinking about all the things we could do. Once you see how the show wraps all the way around you, the dreaming begins,” he said.
“Just the idea of 4D technology and the impossibly dialed-in sound raises the experience for No Shoes Nation, literally immersing them in music, visuals, sound, and being together,” Chesney said of the major benefits the venue offers. “To me, this is going to be a whole new way of rocking the fans and I can’t wait.”

Tickets for Kenny Chesney’s Sphere residency go on sale to the public on January 31 at 10 AM local time.
