Lineup for Robert Earl Keen’s Texas Floods Benefit Concert Includes Tyler Childers, Miranda Lambert, Jamey Johnson, and More

On Wednesday, July 9, Robert Earl Keen announced several significant details surrounding his Texas benefit concert, Applause for the Cause. The concert comes in response to the Texas floods that transpired on July 4 and took hundreds of lives, as well as devastated the surrounding communities. Including Keen’s hometown of Kerrville, Texas.

To officially announce the benefit concert, Keen took to Instagram and wrote, “Howdy everyone, Robert Earl Keen here. I’m here to thank everyone for the outpouring of support and generosity for all the individuals and families in the Texas Hill Country. My hometown, Kerrville, TX, was hit especially hard, and the loss of life there has touched everyone in Kerr County and beyond…A few days ago, I promised we would put together a musical get-together to raise money for disaster relief.”

In the announcement, Keen divulged that the concert would be transpiring on Thursday, August 28th, in New Braunfels, Texas, at the Whitewater Amphitheater. In addition to announcing the location and time, Keen also wrote in the post, “This is a star-studded lineup with music starting in the mid-afternoon and lasting far into the night. So, stay tuned for the lineup and more details.” On Tuesday, July 16, Robert Earl Keen announced the full lineup in a separate Instagram post.

The Full Lineup for Robert Earl Keen’s Applause for the Cause

Robert Earl Keen did acquire a great lineup for a great cause. According to Keen’s website, Applause for the Cause will feature headlining artists Tyler Childers, Miranda Lambert, Jon Randall, Jack Ingram, and Cross Canadian Ragweed.

Supporting acts include Cody Jinks, Ryan Bingham, Jamey Johnson, Catie Offerman, Radney Foster, Vincent Neil Emerson, and many more. To check out the full lineup, visit Robert Earl Keen’s website. Tickets for the Texas floods benefit concert will go on sale on Friday, July 18, at noon. All of the proceeds will go to the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country.
