Luke Bryan Hilariously Roasts Blake Shelton on His Birthday

Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan’s friendship is full of playful ribbing, and not even the former’s birthday could stop the fun.

When Shelton turned 49 on June 18, he took to X to express gratitude for the well wishes he received.

“Thank you all for my happy birthday wishes! I love yall!” he wrote, before turning his attention to Bryan.

“I’m kinda bummed though,” he wrote. “@lukebryan is the only one of my friends that hasn’t reached out to me today. He’ll probably only do it now after he sees this.”

Nearly four hours passed with no update. Eventually, though, Shelton did once again hop on the social media site.

Almost another four hours passed with nothing from either guy. When Bryan did respond to Shelton’s messages it likely wasn’t in the way the latter man was hoping.

“Happy birthday to everyone in the world today except @blakeshelton,” Bryan wrote. “Clearly you need to lay off the beers. ha.”

Shelton opted not to respond to Bryan’s tweet.

The country singers have famously been in a friendly feud for years, joking about everything from farming to their songs and rival Nashville bars.

While Shelton didn’t get what he wanted from Bryan, the “Texas” singer did get birthday love from his wife, Gwen Stefani.

“happy birthday to my greatest love @blakeshelton,” Stefani wrote on Instagram alongside a video of some of their best moments together. “u are my everything!!”

Shelton’s birthday came just as he was named one of the headliners for the Boots in the Park Music Festival in Fresno, California this September.

After Shelton wows the crowd on Saturday, Pitbull will headline the first-ever Party in the Park, a brand new, genre-blending music festival.

The event will bring together the best of country, hip-hop, and pop for two high-energy days of music, local food, craft drinks, and outdoor fun in California’s Central Valley.
