Luke Combs Celebrates Son’s Birthday With Heartfelt Message: “Talk About the Best Father’s Day Gift”

Just a few days ago, fathers all around the country celebrated Father’s Day. While the day surrounded dads and everything they do for their children, it also included some good food and maybe a present or two. But for most, they were content with just spending the day with their children. And for country singer Luke Combs, he had a little more to celebrate as his son, Tex, turned 3 years old on June 19th. Besides gifts and cake, Combs took a moment to remember his journey to fatherhood in a touching post.

For Combs, his life drastically changed over the last decade. Breaking into the music industry in 2014, he watched his name land on the charts with each new song. And if that wasn’t enough, he married Nicole Hocking in 2020, welcomed his first son in 2022, and his second in 2023. Being a father had such an impact on Combs he even released the album Fathers & Sons last year.

Posting a collage of pictures on his Instagram page, Combs took a trip down memory lane when showcasing what the last three years looked like with Tex. He wrote in the caption, “T-Man. I can’t believe you’re 3 (for Dale) years old already. I went through my phone this morning before you and your brother woke up to try and find these photos. That took me on a journey down memory lane that brought me to tears. Talk about the best Father’s Day gift of all time buddy. That’s you. We’ve had so much fun, made so many memories, and I can’t wait for the ones up ahead.”

While Tex and Beau were lucky to have Combs and Nicole as parents, the singer saw it differently when he added, “Me and your Mama are so lucky to be your parents. We’re so proud of you, and we love you so much. Happy Birthday buddy.”

Luke Combs Looking To Spend More Time At Home With Major Announcement

Although Combs remained focused on his career in country, fatherhood had a severe impact on his life. Seeing the days fly by, he decided to take a break from touring to focus on his family. Sharing the announcement, Combs insisted, “I want to take a moment to remind y’all that I truly believe y’all are the best fans in the world. I know we’re only doing festivals in the US this year, but I thank y’all for giving me the opportunity to change things up and not do my own tour while still knowing how much y’all mean to me.”

After Combs praised his fans, he revealed his decision to pull back on his performances for a perfect reason. “I just want to be home as much as I can where I can see my boys grow up and them know how important they are to me.”

Fans supported Combs over his decision with comments reading, “You’re the best. Enjoy this time with your beautiful family, that’s what’s important”
