Luke Combs has been teasing his impending album for quite some time now, and he just amplified the anticipation. Last week, Combs dropped the single “Back in the Saddle”, which is the lead single from his untitled forthcoming album. The single’s music video features NASCAR greats Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Richard Petty, and was co-written by Combs’ frequent collaborators, Jonathan Singleton and The Brothers Hunt.
Recently, Combs divulged some more important news regarding the number of songs he has ready for his upcoming album. Even though he has a surplus of songs, Combs made it clear that his album won’t feature all of them. He also disclosed that he has yet to solidify a title.

Nevertheless, Luke Combs continues to fuel the fire around the much-anticipated release of his sixth studio album.
Luke Combs Has Some Work Left To Do
In an interview on the podcast, Katie & Company, Luke Combs talked about what’s been done, what needs to be done, and what needs to be decided on. He said on the podcast, “I’ve probably got one recording session left on it, but I’ve already recorded, I don’t know, over 30 songs, I would think.”
“I don’t know that there’s any plans to do, like, the big album thing. I just don’t know if I love that idea, you know. There’s nothing against it, I mean, obviously it works really well, but I just don’t. I don’t know what it’s called yet… It’s hard to know without having everything recorded,” added Combs.
Even though Combs has more than enough material, he seemingly still needs to take the time to put it together appropriately for a full-fledged, organized album. Also, the elephant in the room, the title, which Combs is still unsure about.
Concerning the thematic direction of the album and the title, Combs stated, “Not particularly, honestly, yet that’s really presented itself. All my records of kind of been that way. I guess ‘This One’s For You’ maybe not as much, I knew that that was gonna be the title of that record.”
Luke Combs has work left to do, but he is seemingly pretty close to delivering his sixth studio album.
