Morgan Wallen Surprises Nashville Crowd With Ella Langley, Teases “Little Sneak Peeks” of New Music
Soon, Morgan Wallen will once again play for packed stadiums on his 2026 Still the Problem Tour in support of his fourth studio album, I’m the Problem. Ahead of the trek’s wildly-anticipated April 10 kickoff, however, the highest-certified country artist of all time kept it small and intimate during Thursday’s (April 2) show at The Pinnacle in Nashville.

The “Whiskey Glasses” crooner, 32, celebrated the April 7 launch of Morgan Wallen Radio—his brand-new SiriusXM channel—with a 16-song set including “Last Night” and “I Had Some Help.”
“I haven’t played a show in a few months,” Wallen told the crowd. “I’ve been hanging out with my family, hanging out in the woods a little bit, making some new music… Every time I get back up here, I think, ‘Man, why did I take so much time off?’”
Marking his first performance of the year, Wallen brought out fellow chart-topping country hitmaker Ella Langley for their first-ever duet of his 2021 single “Sand In My Boots.”
“I don’t know if y’all cheered that loud for me, man,” Wallen said as the crowd boisterously greeted the “Choosing Texas” singer.
“We’re gonna try something we’ve never done tonight,” he continued. The two superstars fell into perfect lockstep as they sang, Yeah, but now I’m dodging potholes in my sunburnt Silverado / Like a heart-broke Desperado, headed right back to my roots.
So What Has Morgan Wallen Been up To?
Morgan Wallen got fans buzzing when he broke his social media silence with a March 27 Instagram post announcing he was coming “out of hibernation for a bit”. The former Entertainer of the Year shared a series of photos, including several that depicted him in what looked like a recording studio.

Speaking with SiriusXM’s Cody Alan ahead of Thursday’s show, the “Love Somebody” singer admitted that perhaps “hibernation” was the wrong word.
“I worked a lot…I’ve been hanging out with my son, making music, and that’s about it,” he said.
Asked to elaborate on potential new music, Wallen said, “I’m still in the early stages with it. I don’t know exactly what I’m gonna do as far as this album. I think I’m on seven or eight singles right now, so it’s probably nearing the end for this album.”
What he said next was music (literally) to fans’ ears. “I’m at a place to where I’ll start showing little sneak peeks soon,” Wallen promised.
