Olivia Rodrigo just did Fontaines D.C. proud. During her recent Dublin concert, the pop star paid tribute to the Irish band when she covered their 2022 track, “I Love You.”

“You guys have really amazing music here. There are so many incredible bands out of Dublin,” she told the crowd before breaking into the song. “Lately I’ve been really obsessed with this band Fontaines D.C. I’ve been playing this song alone in my room for fun. I was wondering if it’d be cool if I played it for you guys?”
With that, Rodrigo began playing the song to much applause. She performed a stripped back version of the track, which appeared on the band’s LP, Skinty Fia.
Olivia Rodrigo’s Summer Shows
Rodrigo’s time in Europe is set to continue after her performance at Marlay Park. The singer is set to play several festivals across the continent in the coming days, including headlining Glastonbury and Lollapalooza Paris.
After the announcement that she’d headline the former festival, Rodrigo took to her Instagram Story to celebrate.
“Headlining glasto has been one of my biggest dreams for so long,” she wrote. “Truly can’t believe this! So grateful and sooo excited. Hope to see you there.”
Rodrigo will return to the U.S. for Lollapalooza in Chicago this August, before wrapping up this run of shows when she plays Osheaga Festival in Quebec.
Amid the busy festival lineup, Rodrigo is also wrapping up her GUTS World Tour with two performances at Manchester’s Co-op Live. While speaking at Billboard‘s Live Music Summit back in November, Rodrigo opened up about the tour, which was in support of her sophomore album.
“After going on the first SOUR Tour, I learned so much about touring and learned how playing songs like ‘Brutal’ and ‘Good 4 U’ were so much fun on stage and with that information in my back pocket, I went on to make GUTS,” she said. “Connecting with the audience and bringing them into your world was something that I wanted to achieve on this tour.”
