Although most fans are happy with owning a shirt of their favorite singer or band, some celebrities have offered unique pieces of memorabilia. There was the time a piece of Elvis Presley’s hair went on sale. Or the time Justin Timberlake watched his half-eaten French toast go up for auction. And if that was enough, John Lennon’s molar (Yes, a tooth), also sold for over $30,000. But recently, Ozzy Osbourne looked to add his own signature to weird memorabilia when he teamed up with Liquid Death to sell his DNA.

With the advancements in technology over the recent years, the topic of cloning has gained a great deal of interest. Being able to cheat death by cloning one’s self was also the center of countless Hollywood movies like The Island. But for the Prince of Darkness, he collaborated with Liquid Death for limited-edition iced tea cans that featured his DNA. Thankfully, it wasn’t blood.
Labeling the new batch of Liquid Death “Infinite Ozzy”, each can was consumed by the Prince of Darkness. Before fans wondered how much Ozzy drank for the marketing campaign – only ten cans were available to purchase. And given the stardom surrounding Ozzy, those cans are sure to cause a buying frenzy as each one will cost $450. But that price is sure to go up as some might decide to place the can on eBay.
Ozzy Osbourne Limited-Edition Can Already SOLD OUT
Sadly, the cans are already sold out on the Liquid Death website. The description for the unique item read, “Yes, we really got the Prince of Darkness to drink from 10 cans of our low-calorie Iced Tea. And yes, he actually crushed each can himself. In the process, he left behind trace DNA from his saliva that you can now own. He even hand-signed each packaging label.”
As for Ozzy, he hoped that the can could help fans in the future clone him. He declared, “Clone me, you bastards.”
With Ozzy requesting to be cloned in the future, Liquid Death was sure to put a disclaimer on the can. “DNA integrity and cloning results not guaranteed.”
Outside of Ozzy’s DNA, the heavy metal icon will take the stage one last time in July when he teams up with Black Sabbath for the Back to the Beginning charity event. And for those fans who couldn’t purchase a can, they can still buy a streaming ticket to Ozzy’s final performance.
