Rising Country Artist Mackenzie Carpenter Sets Release Date for Debut Album

Rising country artist Mackenzie Carpenter has announced a release date for her debut album, Hey Country Queen. The album, which features several previously released tracks, is set for release on March 7, via The Valory Music Co.

Carpenter, having co-written every song on the record, opens up to her audience across the tracklist. From songs about looking for love in all the wrong places (“Jesus, I’m Jealous”), to songs about leaving your exes where they belong (“Don’t Mess With Exes”), to songs about diving in head first to a relationship with abundant warning signs (“Dozen Red Flags”), this album promises more of what has earned her recognition so far: wit, relatability, and an ability to write a killer melody.

“This album has been a long time coming, and I’m so excited to finally share these songs with you,” Carpenter said via a press release. “I’ve lived with them for years, and now it’s time to set them free. Hey Country Queen captures the essence of girlhood, heartbreak and love, and I can’t wait for you to hear it.”

Carpenter got her start writing for other artists–namely Megan Moroney. Carpenter co-wrote many Moroney hits, such as “I’m Not Pretty,” “Indifferent,” and “28th of June.” Alongside those tracks, Carpenter bolstered her own career.
