See Who Has the Highest-Grossing Country Tour Ever (No, It’s Not Morgan Wallen)

Move over, boys, Beyoncé is capturing your records. According to Billboard Boxscore, Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter Tour, which wrapped on July 26, is now the highest-grossing country tour in Boxscore history.

Per Billboard, Boxscore data dates back almost 40 years. It reaches its numbers via a variety of industry sources who voluntarily self-report the figures, though some artists and venues opt not to do so.

On her 32-show tour, Beyoncé raked in $407.6 million and sold 1.6 million tickets. On her latest outing, Beyoncé played only nine cities, though she hosted multiple shows in each location.

The consolidated nature of the tour made it shortest tour in history to cross the $400 million threshold. Beyoncé herself previously held that record, with her 2023 Renaissance World Tour‘s 56 dates.

Beyoncé is now the first woman and first American artist to gross $400M+ on two separate tours. The only other acts to do so are Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, and The Rolling Stones.

Those are Beyoncé’s only accomplishments. According to the outlet, with her Cowboy Carter Tour, Beyoncé broke, tied, or extended 47 Boxscore records.

Who Previously Had the Highest-Selling Country Tour?

The previous title-holder of the highest-grossing country tour ever is a bit unclear.

Garth Brooks held the record for a long time after his 2014 tour with his wife, Trisha Yearwood. That massive 390-show tour earned them $364.3 million.

In 2023, Wallen’s One Night At A Time World Tour raked in more than $300 million, Billboard previously reported. The following year, while on the same tour, Wallen told a crowd that his “team had given me a plaque and it said this is the highest-selling country music tour of all time.”

When the outlet’s 2024 end-of-year list came out, however, Wallen didn’t appear in the Top 10. That was perhaps because the majority of his tour took place in 2023, meaning it could have been the best-selling country tour when considered overall, but not for the year itself.

In 2024, the outlet reported that Zach Bryan had the highest-grossing country tour of the year, raking in $321.3 million on his The Quittin Time Tour.
