Back when he was in town to play a show with his band The Stragglers, Jason Boland stopped by our offices to play a few songs from his new album, Rancho Alto, in stripped-down, acoustic form.
Though he now lives in Austin, Boland springs from the famed Red Dirt soil of Oklahoma – and it shows in his traditional, purist sound. His latest effort has earned praise from critics for its great story songs and arresting vocals.
