Well-wishes go out to SZA. The R&B artist had to delay her Toronto concert just a few hours before she was set to hit the stage on October 4, as she mentioned in an Instagram video ahead of the start of the show.

As Variety points out, the singer/songwriter posted a video during her soundcheck at Scotiabank Arena, sending her deepest apologizes to her fans. She mentioned being on steroids and attempting to “push through,” but ultimately not being able to sound her best.

“Hey gang, I’m here at the arena. I just tried to do sound check, I sound terrible,” she said. “I only want to give you guys 100 percent and that’s what you deserve and I won’t give you less than that. I promise you I will come back Toronto and make it up, I’m so sorry. I wanted to push through very much, I’m on as much dexamethasone as one can be on, and I love you and I promise you I’ll be back. I tried, I came, I got in hair and makeup and all the things. I love you and I’m really sorry.”
SZA did promise she will definitely reschedule the Toronto show but so far no information has been provided on when that might be. She’s been touring for most of the year, including all throughout Europe, and kicked off the SOS Tour back in February in North America.
She’s got confirmed plans for live shows in Los Angeles and Brooklyn before she concludes the tour in Phoenix on October 29. And there’s more music coming. A deluxe version of her SOS album titled Lana is set to be released before the end of the year.
In an interview with iHeartRadio’s #MostRequestedLive show back in January, she said she was experimenting with how it will complement SOS. “There are still songs that didn’t make the album that I wanted to make the album, but that’s what deluxe and things are for,” she said. “Sometimes it’s 10 songs that didn’t make the cut, so we’ll see. I’m going to throw them all out there because… No one can say I didn’t give the music. So when I disappear for another five years, there will be more. There will be more to speak for me.”
