(Original Caption) 6/16/1972-New York, New York- Simon and Garfunkel perform in public together again (they have not been working as a team lately) at a Madison Square Garden concert held to raise campaign funds for Sen. George McGovern, currently front-runner in the Democratic presidential nomination sweepstakes. During the final act June 14th, Art Garfunkel and Paul Simon (not shown) sang "Bridge Over Troubled Waters," which reportedly is to serve as the senator's campaign song. While the entertainers played, McGovern said, "I want indeed to become a bridge over troubled waters."
