Zach Bryan holds many positive and negative titles. However, one title he proudly wears is that of a Philadelphia Eagles fan. On Sunday, January 19, the Eagles beat the Los Angeles Rams and secured a spot in the NFC Championship. In that matchup, they will play the Washington Commanders, and given Zach Bryan’s comments, a large portion of his fans are rooting for their victory.

The Eagles are a fairly despicable franchise and one of the most hated in the NFL thanks to their fervent fans. However, it seems fans of Zach Bryan might hop on the bandwagon, and it’s all thanks to the promise he made on Instagram following the Eagles’ divisional-round win.
Zach Bryan Makes a Bold Promise
Following the Eagles’ win against the Rams, Bryan stated on Instagram, “IF THE BIRDS WIN THE NFC BLUE JEAN BABY IS OUT SUNDAY NIGHT WRITTEN AND RECORDED IN PHILLY.” You heard that correctly, Bryan is promising new music only if the Philadelphia Eagles win their upcoming matchup against the Commanders.
In addition to announcing this news, Bryan also teased a portion of his song “Blue Jean Baby.” The lyrics teased in the post are Give me two more hours and I’ll head downstairs / I got a bad hangover and it’s staying here / You were laughing in your coveralls / With your bandana tied tight last night / I don’t know if it’s just me / But I find peace in these evenings/ There’s a barely lit cigarette burning a hole in your blue jeans / American girls love goodbyes.
Furthermore, the musical arrangement Bryan teases is a superb American mix between The Band and Bruce Springsteen. With a bellowing bass drum and classic All-American lyrics, the song reaks with a folk music jamboree scent. At face value, there is no correlation between the lyrics and the football team. Although, who cares, new music is new music.
If you are a staunch football fan, it’s not unusual to have personal decisions be contingent on your respected team. That being so, Zach Bryan has yet again proved that he’s just an average Joe. So as long as you are not a Commanders fan, it’s okay to become an Eagles fan for just one night.
