Kicking off in February, The Voice welcomed a new group of singers to the show. Giving them a chance to launch their careers in the music industry, the contestants made their way through the blind auditions, hoping to win over coaches Kelsea Ballerini, John Legend, Adam Levine, and former winner Michael Bublé. With the new season already producing hilarious moments and unforgettable auditions, fans noticed that the schedule somewhat changed. Instead of airing on Mondays and Tuesdays, The Voice has only been showing on Mondays, leaving many to wonder why.

For those who might believe The Voice is struggling with ratings, rest easy—the show continues to draw a crowd. The problem with the show airing Mondays and Tuesdays happened to be an issue with NBC. With The Voice airing on the network, NBC found itself with a lineup issue. Looking at the schedule for Tuesday, the network hosted shows like St. Denis Medical, Night Court, Deal or No Deal Island, and The Irrational. Each show aired between 8:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. And if that wasn’t enough, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon also hit airwaves at 11:35 p.m.
With more than enough shows to fill time slots, The Voice decided to focus on producing just a Monday episode. But don’t worry, as the live show starts, the show will offer a few new episodes on Tuesday. Still going through the blind auditions, the coaches looked ahead to the battles, knockouts, and the playoffs.

How ‘The Voice’ Helped Kelsea Ballerini Remember Her Past
Welcoming Ballerini to the show, the singer appeared at home on The Voice. Discussing her time on the show, the singer noted how the experience helped her remember her own accomplishments, “It’s making me go into the last 10 years and think, wow, I really have done a lot. I have learned a lot. It’s helping me give credibility to my career. Being up there with people I grew up listening to, and having an opinion they’re holding on the same level as their own, has felt beautiful.”
Don’t miss new episodes of The Voice airing Monday nights at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on NBC and available to stream the following day on Peacock.
