Team Adam's Conor James and Darius J.
For his Knockout, Team Adam’s Conor James decided to perform Alphaville’s “Forever Young,” which Levine praised as a “great, challenging song.” Darius J., meanwhile, picked Estelle’s “American Boy.” Levine was complimentary to him as well, but advised him to ramp up the energy and vocals throughout his performance.
When it was time to take the stage, Darius J. earned a standing ovation from all four coaches. Compliments flew for both men, though. Ballerini said “there’s no way either of you can go home,” a sentiment with which Bublé agreed.
Levine was torn when it came time to make his choice. The coach praised Darius J. for his “high-energy” performance and James for his excellent vocals. Ultimately, however he selected James as the winner.
It’s not the end of the road for Darius J., though, as Ballerini pressed her button to steal him.
“I’ve been waiting for this!” she declared.
Team Bublé's Jadyn Cree and Kameron Jaso
Bublé’s next Knockout showcased Jadyn Cree’s interpretation of Avril Lavigne’s “Keep Holding On” and Kameron Jaso’s version James Arthur’s “Say You Won’t Let Go.” During rehearsals, Bublé praised Cree as a “star in the making” and celebrated Jaso’s artistry as well.
“Whoever has the most potential,” he said, “That’s who’s going to go through to the Playoffs.
Legend praised both performances as “so beautiful,” but said he’d pick Cree as the winner. While Levine said Jaso gave his best performance of the competition, he agreed that Cree was the winner.
Bublé agreed with his fellow coaches, picking Cree as the winner of the Battle.
Team Legend's Jacquelyn George and Olivia Kuper Harris
Team Legend returned to the Knockout stage with Jacquelyn George’s rendition of JoJo’s “Too Little Too Late” and Olivia Kuper Harris’ cover of Donna Summer’s “Last Dance.” The coaches were impressed with both ladies. Levine praised George’s falsetto, while calling Harris’ performance “big time wow,” and Bublé declined to state who he’d choose since both women “killed it.” Legend ended up selecting Harris as the winner of the Knockout.
Team Kelsea's Hailey Wright and Jaelen Johnston
Kelsea Ballerini once again decided to put Hailey Wright up against Jaelen Johnston in the Knockouts, the same pairing that she matched in the Battle Round. In that instance, Kelsea selected Jaelen as the winner, though she used her only Save to keep Hailey on her team.
Wright decided to show off her yodeling capabilities by singing Patsy Montana’s “I Want to Be a Cowboy’s Sweetheart. Johnston, meanwhile, stepped away from country to sing Noah Kahan’s “Dial Drunk.”
The performances both went off without a hitch. Bublé praised Johnston’s performance, but said that he’d give the win to Wright, a sentiment with which Levine agreed. Ballerini did not agree with her co-stars, and instead picked Johnston as the winner of the Knockout.
Team Bublé's Adam David and Carlos Santiago
For his team’s first Knockout of the night, Michael Bublé paired up Adam David and Carlos Santiago. The former selected Allen Stone’s “Unaware” as his song of choice, while Calum Scott’s “You Are the Reason” was Santiago’s pick. Bublé warned David not to give into nerves and advised Santiago to pretend he’s singing his song to his wife during his performance.
Both men pulled it off to say the least. Legend said both David and Santiago gave their “best performances” so far, while Adam Levine noted that Bublé couldn’t go wrong with his choice.
That choice ended up being David, who will be moving onto the Playoffs.
Team Legend's Nell Simmons and Renzo
First up for the last Knockout episode of the season were Team John Legend’s Nell Simmons and Renzo. The former singer selected Chaka Khan’s “Sweet Thing” as her song, while the latter opted to sing Billie Eilish’s “Happier Than Ever.”
“It’s so hard to choose between them,” Legend bemoaned. “I’m going to allow myself to choose who moves me in the moment.”
Legend praised Simmons as “sexy and poised,” calling her performance “perfection.” When it came to Renzo, Legend complimented his “versatility” as an artist. Ultimately, though, Legend selected Renzo as the winner.
