Morgan Wallen was the musical guest on Saturday Night Live over the weekend. His appearance on the show is making waves on social media. However, fans aren’t raving about his performance. Instead, everyone seems to be talking about Wallen’s awkward exit from the stage as the credits rolled. New information has surfaced, with one source claiming that the “Sand in My Boots” singer was snubbed by SNL executive producer and television icon Lorne Michaels during the episode’s taping.

Regular SNL viewers know how things go at the end of each episode. The host, musical guest, and cast gather on the stage, say some parting words, and share banter as the credits roll. Usually, everyone stays onstage until the credits end and the show cuts to black. That wasn’t the case over the weekend, though. Instead, Wallen shared a brief moment with host Mikey Madison before leaving early. One fan who attended the show believes they know why he was in such a hurry to get out of the studio.

Did Lorne Michaels Snub Morgan Wallen on Saturday Night Live?

A TikTok user scoured the internet and found comments from one fan who was at the Saturday Night Live taping. They claim to be able to shed more light on why Morgan Wallen left so quickly.

“I was there last night. Lorne snubbed him!” the commenter wrote. “Mikey walked to the stage at the end and Lorne hugged her, then when Morgan came toward the [stage] Lorne turned his back and walked away,” they explained. “It was an obvious and purposeful move.”

The now-anonymous commenter added that Michaels wasn’t the only one who allegedly showed disdain for Wallen in the final moments of the episode. “The cast couldn’t be further back on the stage if they tried,” they observed. “Apparently, it’s a thing they do when they don’t like the guest.”

Earlier in the video, the TikTok user pointed out another moment that showed how the cast felt about Wallen. “There was also a scene after Morgan walked off where two of the cast members hugged each other and one of them pointed in the direction that Morgan went. The other one kind of turned around and smirked,” they explained. “I feel like that scene was very telling for me about how the cast felt.”
