Tyler Childers and His Unreleased Music Appears to Fall Victim to Streaming Fraud

For years fans have been urging Tyler Childers to release some of his unreleased hidden gems. Particularly, Childers has yet to and seemingly never will release “Jersey Giant,” “Redneck Romeo,” and “Her and The Banks.” Even though all these tracks exist on YouTube, none of them officially exist under Childers’ name on streaming platforms anywhere. Well, until now.

Given that Childers has refused to release these golden tracks, it seems a verified Spotify artist has taken it upon themselves to give the people what they want. However, the artist’s actions are not only incredibly illegal, but also entirely immoral, and consequently, legal recourse will surely transpire if it hasn’t already.

The Unlawful Release of Tyler Childers’ Unreleased Gems

The verified Spotify artist responsible for this unlawful deed goes under the name, Alexia Rigmund. Rigumind has released several projects including a single in November of 2024, as well as an EP titled I Wanna Know Your Name. Though, more recently and controversially, Rigmund released Tyler Childers’ “Jersey Giant,” “Harlan Road,” “22nd Winter,” and “Her and The Banks.”

Given that Rigmund is a verified artist, they are seemingly making money off Childers’ intellectual property and likeness. As of now, the channel has approximately 18k monthly listeners. An X user seemingly brought the streaming fraud to light when he wrote, “Hot tip – somebody put out Tyler’s demo of this and jersey giant as well as others on Spotify under the name Alexia Rigmund. At least it sounds just like Tyler.”

It is unclear if Tyler Childers and his team have brought legal action against Alexia Rigmund. However, given that the released tapes still exist on Spotify and on YouTube it is fair to surmise that they haven’t or are currently trying to get them taken down. To many Childers fans, this illegal streaming act might be a dream come true. Though when viewed through a broader lens, it is tragic to know you’re listening to pirated music that is detrimental to the original artist. Tyler Childers nor any members of his team have publicly commented on the matter.
