Ozzy Osbourne Is “Doing What I Can” At Upcoming Black Sabbath Reunion
In July, Ozzy Osbourne will join Black Sabbath for a special one-day festival at Villa Park. The concert will also feature bands they influenced, including Metallica, Slayer, and Pantera.
Despite ads touting th concert as a Black Sabbath reunion, Osbourne recently revealed that his participation will actually be quite limited.
“I’m not planning on doing a set with Black Sabbath, but I am doing little bits and pieces with them,” the legendary rocker said during a recent episode of Ozzy Speaks, his SiriusXM show. “I am doing what I can, where I feel comfortable.
He went on to say that he is “trying to get back” on his feet. “When you get up in the morning, you just jump out of bed,” he said. “I have to balance myself, but I’m not dead. I’m still actively doing things.”

Ozzy Can No Longer Walk Due To Parkinson’s, But “I’m Still Alive”
Black Sabbath fans last saw a full-length concert from Ozzy Osbourne in late 2018. Two years later, the “Mr. Crowley” hitmaker, now 76, announced he had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.
According to the Cleveland Clinic, Parkinson’s disease is an age-related degenerative brain condition, meaning it causes parts of your brain to deteriorate. Symptoms include slowed movements, tremors, balance problems and more.
The Black Sabbath reunion news comes just weeks after the “Iron Man” singer revealed that he can no longer walk due to his illness.
“I go on about the way I can’t walk and I can’t do this, but you know what I was thinking over the holidays?” Ozzy told Billy Morrison, his Ozzy Speaks co-host. “For all of my complaining, I’m still alive.”
In a Feb. 5 interview with The Sun, Sharon Osbourne said that her husband’s vocal ability “is as good as it’s ever been.”
“He’s very happy to be coming back and very emotional about [the Black Sabbath reunion,]” she said.
